My Life As A Poppy
I feel thankful to be alive.
I gently sway as the blackbirds sing.
The autumn leaves collapsing to the floor.
I can see the toad like frogs jumping
in the pond one by one.
I can feel the cold breeze blowing across my face,
I feel thankful to be alive.
Petrified with despair.
The thick smoke blinding my sight.
As the venomous gas poisons me.
The soilders bloodshod as they trample past me.
I can see the grenades whizzing over me.
I can feel sadness in the air.
Petrified with despair.

On the 12th October 2017, 9:30am - 11:30am we will be having our Open Morning where you and your child will be able to see the school in action and meet the Early Years staff and the Head Teacher. We look forward to meeting you.
Yesterday saw our EYFS and KS1 children taking part in the annual competitive Sports Day. The rain held off and the children demonstrated drive and determination on the track. The children took part in the relay race, egg and spoon race, sack race and the sprint. We were so proud of all of our children who did so well. Everyone definitely earned an ice pop at the end of the morning!
Thanks to the pre school children who came along and raced brilliantly! We have some budding athletes joining us in September!
Again, our parents did us proud and the children cheered wildly as the mums and dads raced for the finish line in the sprint and the three legged race.
Even the teachers joined in the fun with a three legged race. Miss Jackson was determined that she would gain first place over last years champion, Mr Hainsworth. With the support of Mrs Peacock, great drive and passion were shown on their faces as they steamed ahead, overtaking the other teachers from a very early point on the track!
All in all, a very happy and successful day!
Today we enjoyed a red, white and blue picnic to celebrate the Queen's birthday.
