It is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and is a vibrant and friendly school serving the market town of Tetbury, an attractive Cotswold market town.

We currently have the following vacanices:

1 to 1 Teaching Assistants (Temporary contracts linked to specfic children)

We are looking to recuit capable and experienced teaching assistants to support children with significant Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Communication and Interaction (C&I) needs in school from January 2021.

We have 3 positions available, relating to the needs of the individual children, however it could be possible for one person to cover two of the positions. 

The successful candidates will have:

  • experience of working within children in KS1 and KS2 and knowledge of the curriculums; 
  • experience of working with children with SEMH needs;
  • good communication skills;
  • the ability to adapt tasks to suit individual pupil needs;
  • the ability to work closely with parents, teachers, teaching assistants, the SENDCo and other outside agencies. 

All of the positions below are Grade 5 positions (previously known as Grade F). 

Position 1 - 10 hours a week (2 hours each morning).  This is a temporary post for 20 weeks. 

Position 2 - 15 hours a week (lunchtime and each afternoon). This is a temporary post until the end of July 2021. It is linked to an Education & Health Care Plan (EHCP) and as such is subject to review. 

Position 3 - 10 hours a week (2 hours each afternoon). This is a temporary post and is subject to a an EHCP application. 

St Mary's is a large primary school situated in the beautiful market town of Tetbury.  We have a team of experienced staff who are inspiring and fun to work with. Our children are a caring, curious, and courageous bunch and are full on enthusiasm and energy. We have a Forest School onsite, a huge field used all year round for den building, digging and exploring and an all-weather running track. As a school community we have a collective commitment to developing healthy and active children and we put children at the heart of all we do. 

Visits to the School

Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visit at this time however we have a virtual open day which will give you an insight into our school and it may be possible to give you a tour of the school as part of the interview process.
