Collective Worship

Our Christian Values are at the centre of everything we do at St Mary's CE VA Primary Primary School.

The values are: generosity, compassion, courage, forgiveness, friendship, respect, thankfulness, trust, perseverance, justice, service and truthfulness.

Our Christian value for this term is...

Perseverance

Each short term, we focus on a different Christian Value. This is done explicitly through our Collective Worship time and also throughout our curriculum.

Children have regular opportunities to reflect on each value and to develop an understanding of the Value in action. Our visitors from St. Marys' Church (Reverend Poppy and Reverend Rob) and Christ Church (Reverend Noel) regularly lead our worship to help us reinforce our understanding of each value from the teachings of Jesus and the Bible.

Children have opportunities to plan, prepare and lead worship for the whole school.

A  document linking our Christian value in school to life at home (full of fun things to do together as a family) can be found here.

Below is our school prayer which was written by our Collective Worship team.  The children say this prayer regularly in Collective Worship.
