Experience Easter

On Tuesday, children in years 3 and 4 enjoyed an Easter treat at St Mary’s Church. Each class was greeted by Poppy who shared the Easter story.

The children then made their way around the church and took part in hands on activities to explore the story further.

‘I enjoyed washing my hands which represented Jesus washing feet’ (Savelle)

‘The best bit was sharing the warm bread at the last supper’ (Marcie)

‘I liked getting to eat an little Easter egg which was the stone in Jesus’ tomb’ (Preston)

‘We wrote our hopes and dreams for the future on palm leaves and I enjoyed that bit’ (Jack)

We would like to say a big thank to everyone for making it a lovely time at the church and for our kind gift of the holding cross.
