CSI: Tetbury

On Friday 18th March, Y5/6 took part in two science workshops. One was titled 'Forensic Science' and the other was called 'Life Long Ago'. This is how we got on...

Forensic Science Workshop:

In the Forensic Workshop, we learnt about DNA, fingerprints and other things to do with detective work. To end the workshop, we had a go in groups at solving a crime ourselves. We used tweezers and a magnifying glass to search the scene and we found many clues. We also used DNA to work out the robber. We loved it!Website 4

Life Long Ago Workshop:

In this workshop, we became palaeontologists and discovered (using brushes) some fossils. These included herbivore and carnivore dinosaurs and other fossils. We also took some time to learn about each individual fossil. We learnt loads and really enjoyed it.

Thank you to the teachers for helping to organise it, the school and parents for paying money towards it and of course the people who ran it for bringing the workshop to us!
