Wonderful but Wet Wales!

Year 6 are having a fantastic time on residential at Morfa Bay, despite the lashing rain.

After leaving Tetbury in the middle of a downpour yesterday, we were hoping to be heading towards sunnier climes.  However, that hasn't been the case and the wet weather prevented us from enjoying a beach walk yesterday evening.

Not ones to be defeated by the weather, year 6 have carried on regardless and have enjoyed a range of exhilarating activities over the past day and a half.

Over the course of the week, each of the four groups will tackle a mountain biking course, go climbing and abseiling, complete a woodland scramble and work as a team to finish an incredibly muddy assault course in the quickest time.

In addition to their action packed days, the children are enjoying the delicious food provided and the great facilities here.  Some of them were not as eager to sleep last night, but their bleary-eyed teachers are hoping this was simply down to first night excitement and that sleep comes much more quickly after an exhausting day today!
