National Girls Football Week

As part of National Girls Football Week, some children from Y1-Y6 were invited to Rodmarton Primary School, to take part in a 'Football Festival'.

  Tetbury Town Football

We were very lucky to be sporting our new sports t-shirts, kindly provided by Tetbury Town FC. (They gave us extra courage and determination!) Didn't we look smart?!

We had a great morning practising dribbling and shooting skills and we played matches in our phases.

We finished the morning with a football match, Rodmarton v St Marys. All of the girls played exceptionally well and there were plenty of near misses! Finally, after some teeth clenching moments, Grace managed to use her talents and the back of the net was sought on the final whistle. Get in!

Well done to all of the girls who took part in the event. You modelled great teamwork and perseverance and demonstrated self belief.

Woman of the match goes to Eva Weston for her super footwork skills!
