School Lunches
Fresh, healthy food has a positive impac
t on everyone's mood, behaviour, health, growth and ability to concentrate.
Our hot school lunches are cooked in our on-site kitchen by Caterlink, a specialist school caterer which is passionate about fresh, healthy food that tastes great.
If you do not wish your child to have a hot school meal you will need to provide them with a packed lunch and a non-fizzy drink.
If your child has any diagnosed allergies or special dietry requirements please contact the School Office.
Booking Lunches
All hot school lunches (including free school meals) must be booked on-line, in advance, via Parentpay. If you are not able to do this please speak to the School Office who will be able to help you.
You can book your child's lunches on a daily, weekly or termly basis. However all lunches must be booked before 8am on the day on which they are to be taken.
Free School Meals
If you receive the following benefits:
- Income Support (IS),
- Income Based Jobseeker's Allowance (IB;JSA),
- an Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA(IR)),
- Support under Part Vl of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999,
- Child Tax Credit (provided that you're not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income that does not exceed £16,190) or
- Working Tax Credit 4 week 'run-on',
your child may be eligible for Free School Meals which attracts Pupil Premium funding.
If your child is eligible for this funding they will be so for the duration of their time at Primary School even if your personal situation changes. As a school we are able to use this funding to provide your child with additional support subject to their particular needs.
If you believe you are eligible to claim this additional funding, please call into the School Office for further details.
Free school lunches must be booked via ParentPay as explained above.
Universal Infant Free School Meals
If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 your child will be automatically eligible for a free hot school meal, irrespective of your household income or benefits that you receive.
If you would like your child to have this free hot school meal on a regular or ad-hoc basis please use the ParentPay booking system (explained above) to book these lunches.
If you are eligable for the any of the benefits mentioned in the Free School Meal section above please apply for these Free School Meals even if your child is in R, Yr1 or Yr2 as this will attract Pupil Premium funding which will enable us to provide your child with additional support.
