Camptastic!!

Midnight munchies, camp fires, toasted marshmallows, stinky tents and no sleep!!!  

All these things and many more happened on Year 2 camp at the end of last week. Children put up their own tents with the help of the Allnat Tented Camps  team

The children were fed and watered, (regularly!) throughout the day.  Midnight munchies proved to be a winning event although picking jelly sweets and sticky popcorn out of sleeping bags the following morning wasn't so much fun!

Sleeping.......there wasn't much of this during the night!  Teachers got roughly 2 and a half hours sleep with the children waking up at 4:30am!!!!                                    

Tent inspections were an essential part of the experience with tents being given marks out of 10! The girls definately won on being the least smelly. The boys tents didn't smell too good in the morning!!!

Children  entered into the spirit of things during the activities, making campfires, baking bannock bread (and eating it too), team games, tug of war, water fights and so much more.

The chidlren were fantastically behaved and were a credit to the school.  Everyone had fun and the teachers can't wait for it all again next year!!!!
