Egyptian Explorers Head to Bristol!

bristol-miniChildren in years 3 and 4 headed off to Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery to learn more about their exciting topic Pharaoh Nuff.

We stepped back in time as we explored the Ancient Egypt Gallery.

The gallery features over 600 objects - the best Egyptian collection in the south west.

bristol-02'I liked hunting for the different pictures in the gallery because it was fun trying to find them all.' Anna

'My favourite bit was walking through all the Egyptian things because I learnt more about our
topic.' Charlie R

bristol-01Curiosity filled the workshops as we carefully examined artefacts to discover what they were. We used clues from the diary of Amelia Edwards (an Egyptologist) to find which part of Ancient Egypt they were from.

'I enjoyed handling all the artefacts because it helps me to know what the Egyptians used and what they
used them for'. Amelia

'I liked holding all the Ancient Egyptian artefacts because some of them were not used for what I
expected them to be.' Eleanor

A FANTASTIC DAY OUT!
