Memories of the summer term

The end of last term may seem quite a while ago but the memories linger on!

The end of the summer term was a pretty eventful and action packed time for us all.

We held a summer tea party for teachers who were leaving and welcomed many old friends back to school for a delicious cream tea on the school field. It was lovely to see so many old faces and to recognise the contributions so many staff have made to the school over the years.

The Year 6 Leavers' Service was a huge success and the children did a very good job of moving the parents to tears singing songs and telling funny stories of mishaps and adventures.

The Year 6 children also put on a production of 'Shakespeare Rocks' for the whole school community. The talent of our oldest pupils was inspiring and the confidence and enthusiasm they showed when singing, dancing and acting moved us all! Well done to all the children and the wonderful, talented teachers and staff who helped put the show on. Photos to follow!

And Year 2 camped on the school field for a night! The sun shone, the children sang songs around the camp fire with their teddies and they all cuddled up in their tents after lights out and didn't sleep very much at all! They all had a brilliant time and learnt a lot about camping including how to build and light campfires and make and cook bread on them. Lots of fun and team building - and very tired teachers!
