Cracking Kingsholm

Our school Prefects and House Captains had a real treat today when they were given a tour of Gloucester Rugby's Kingsholm Stadium.

During the visit, the children spent time in the home dressing room, where the likes of Billy Twelvetrees, John Afoa and Greig Laidlaw prepare for matches.  They also saw where the players take their three-minute ice baths after each game.

The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly the chance for the children to run down the tunnel of the South Stand, imitating what the players do every time they play a match at Kingsholm.  Following this, the children got a chance to stand in the Shed, perhaps the most well-known part of the ground, whilst chanting Gloucester (with extra 'r's for that authentic match-day experience!)
